Applicant API
Introduction
Recruitment Management (RM) is a BusinessPlus module that supports the entire hiring process. Applicant API is the BusinessPlus interface between Recruitment and the 3rd party Applicant Tracking/Management program.
Features
- Single Entity: The software functions only with a single entity. The HR Entity Codes (HRRQEN) page, Misc #5 field, is used to identify which entity to use. Place the letters "RM" into Misc #5 of the entity record. If no record contains "RM", or if multiple records are set, the software will default to using the "ROOT" entity. Everything (for example, validation codes, HR record creation) that interacts with the HR system and discerns between entities will automatically match to the single identified entity or “ROOT.”
- Page Buttons/Icons: Application icons and buttons are used consistently for ease of use.
- Required Fields: Throughout the software, required fields are identified by a red asterisk.
- Date Fields: Throughout the software, date fields can be populated by using the date controller or dates can be entered manually as mmdd (year is interpreted), mmddyy (century is interpreted), or mmddccyy.
System Requirements
The BusinessPlus Applicant Interface is designed as a crosswalk between two systems. Posting Requisitions can be created and submitted to the 3rd party Applicant Tracking system to start the applicant recruitment process and applicant data can be sent to BusinessPlus for employee hiring. Additionally, a posting will be created after the fact if an applicant is transferred with a unique/new Posting ID. The posting is then updated in RMUPPI.
The Applicant Tracking system is used for all application-related functions. When an applicant has been selected for hiring, their information is transferred to BusinessPlus where integration to the Human Resources (HR) module occurs.
