ARDS - AR240C

Optional settings for the ARSPTI interface process
After loading an AR or CR set via a flat file or SQL query to the ar_int_dtl table (an interim table), this common code tells BusinessPlus how to handle that set. Sets will insert as an AR or CR set based on the Associated Codes configured in this common code, and based on the information within the interface file, specifically the ARID_TRNS_Type column that holds either a CR or AR value. See the AR User guide for setup of the interim file. An AR set inserts to ARBTARUB, and a CR set inserts to ARBTCRUB. The set will insert or post per the settings within this common code.

Code Category: ARDS

Code Value: AR240C

Short Description: The selection here tells ARSPTI what to accomplish with the set data. Enter ON to post the transaction; or leave blank to insert the set with a BE status.

Medium Description: Enter TEST to run the interface using pre-defined testing data. Enter DEBUG to run the process in debug mode. Leave blank to run with full functionality.

Long Description: Used to describe the common code.

Associated Numeric Values

Associated Codes

1: Enter ARBTARDS for inserting records into an AR batch set via ARSPTI. View the inserted records via ARBTARUB. The status of the inserted set will depend on the Short Description of this common code. ON to post (DS status), or blank for record insertion (BE status).

2: If using Associated Code 1, enter the printer to use for reports that result from the job that is run. The code should be a working printer that is defined with common code NULP/[printer]. The Value used in the printer setup is the expected code for the Associated Codes 2 field. Also note that a valid NULP/[printer] setup includes escape sequence codes.

3: BE or blank. Enter BE to allow new interface records to be added to an existing batch, provided the batch status is still BE. Without this setting, NO records are added to batches that already exist, regardless of the status.

4: Enter ARBTCRDS for inserting records into a CR batch set via ARSPTI. View the inserted records via ARBTCRUB. The status of that inserted set will depend on the Short Description of this common code: ON to post (DS status), or blank for record insertion (BE status).

5: REFDT for using the RefDt as the Post Date. For ARs, this is the Invoice Date. For CRs, this is the Receipt Date for posting date.
