Scheduled Workflow Model Execution
When a scheduled Workflow model is saved, whether inactive or active, an entry is created in the Workflow Schedule table. This entry contains the status of the model and the next date it is to execute. The Workflow Schedule is reviewed every time the Workflow engine wakes up. If the next date on the record indicates that it is time to execute, a Workflow Instance record is created (or updated, if not the first time), the next execution date is calculated depending on the Workflow model definition, and the Workflow Schedule table entry is updated to reflect the next run date.
The user can view all Workflow Schedule table entries in Tools > View Time Triggered > Scheduled Models dialog, which contains a list of all scheduled Workflow models, active and inactive. The user can adjust the next date on any active scheduled model by selecting the Adjust button.
