Workflow Process

Using the Documents Online Capture program with Workflow Attachments is essentially the same as capturing them normally with the exception of requiring attachment data be entered at capture time. The Workflow attachment process allows the scanner to be used to load the documents into the database with the idea that a data entry process will follow using the appropriate BusinessPlus Data Entry screen.

After an image is scanned using the Workflow attachment option, Workflow picks up the document and moves it to the appropriate data entry page.

  • Using the Workflow attachment in the Pending Tasks option in Edit, Grid or Find mode moves it to the appropriate data entry page in Edit mode.
  • For only Grid add and edit feature-enabled screens, using the Workflow attachment in the Pending Tasks option in the Grid mode remains in Grid mode and adds a new line in the first row of the grid.

The user selects the scanned document on the Workflow menu of the appropriate page and adds record details. The image is attached when the record is saved.
