• Record insert: Whatever values are provided in the data file for employee and employer will be inserted and the total will be calculated based on the two values. If no values are provided, the total will be 0 (zero).

• Record update: If the employee and employer columns do not exist in the input file, no changes occur in the database record. If one or both columns are present, then the values, including zero if blank, are used in the total.
