Setup - GL
Main Setup
- GLUPGN — Define structural components. All the foundation of the GL and JL are defined here. The account number string entered into transaction processing pages is made of data elements – either Org Keys and Object Codes or Fully Qualified Accounts.
- GLUPKP, GLUPKY — Build and define Org Keys and Key Part Codes.
- GLUPOG — Build and define Objects and Object Groups.
Optional Setup
- GLUPQU — Quick account numbers. Under some circumstances, it may be easier to enter a single number for an account rather than requiring entry of the Org Key-Object.
- GLUPRU — Rule Logic for Key Creation and Use. Establish GL rules within the software that ensure that correct codes are used when creating Org Keys, Object Codes, FQA Accounts, and account associations.
- GLUPDF — Default Account Mapping may be set up to establish a link between the GL Keys/Objects and JL Keys/Objects to populate remaining account string automatically.
Subsystem Interface
Several subsystem interfaces provide the critical link between the various subsystems and the general ledger. These interfaces are defined by multiple pages within the Subsystem Posting (GLUTSP) section. Exercise great caution while working or navigating these pages, as the slightest, unintentional changes will impact the whole system.
- GLUTSPCK — Bank ID/Check ID Preferences.
- GLUTSPPM — Posting Mapping.
- GLUTSPPP — Posting Preferences. This page is used in conjunction with GLUTSPSI. Posting Preferences are a means of passing a transaction through a set of rules to create a Posting Code during data entry time.
- GLUTSPSC — Susbsystem Interface Calcs.
- GLUTSPSI — Subsystem Interface. Used to define entries that are to be posted to the General Ledger as the result of transaction activity in a given subsystem.
