eContracts Setup
Overview
eContracts is a customer-specific process that allows employees to display, accept, or decline contract documents. Contract documents are generated through HRCSES and displayed on Employee Online if all the required components have been configured.
Menu Path
To access the eContracts Setup page, select EO Administration. On the Settings menu, select eContracts Setup.
Contract Type Setup
You must add a Non-Entity Specific Code (HRTBHR) for each Contract Type that will be processed through HRCSES to have it displayed on Employee Online.
- Code ID: E_CONTRACTTYPE
- Code: Contract Type Code (up to 8 characters)
- Short Description: Short Description of Code (up to 15 characters)
- Long Description: Long Description of Code (up to 30 characters)
eContracts Setup
The following settings control what employees are allowed to do and define custom messages associated with each contract type defined by the customer.
- Select Allow Accept to allow an employee to accept a contract in Employee Online.
- Select Allow Decline to allow an employee to decline a contract in Employee Online.
- Select Show Frequency to require an employee to enter a frequency selection before accepting a contract. If selected, the following options display:
- Contract Type: Displays the long description of the E_CONTRACTTYPE code as defined in HRTBHR. You can define multiple Contract Type entries.
- Frequency Code: Added to the Notes statement, which is inserted into the hr_empnotes table.
- Description: Displayed to the employee for selection on the Employee Contracts page.
- Custom Message: Each HRTBHR entry for E_CONTRACTTYPE is represented by a Custom Message card. Each card contains message editors for Pending Contracts and Closed Contracts. You can customize messages based on the contract type and status.
