Employee Assignments
Employee Master | The Human Resources Employee Master (HREMEN) page identifies basic employee demographic, emergency, EEO, and I9 information. Information entered here updates the Payroll Employee Definition (PYUPEM) page. Many of the fields on the Employee Master page are validated against tables found in the HR Primary Tables Menu (HRTBxx), Nucleus Common Codes (NUUPCD) and Static/System Codes.
Global Processing Employee Records Tool After employee master information is entered, from the Tools menu, select Global Processing Employee Records and change Approval to send and send to payroll. |
Pay Assignments | Use the Human Resource (HR) Pay Assignments (HRPYPA) page to set up employee pay assignments that will be passed onto Payroll. Use this page to assign a position and salary to an employee. Use the Global Send Pay Assignments tool to send the HR assignments over to Payroll (PYUPEP). Quick Pay Assignments (HRPYQP) is an alternate page used for entering employee pay assignments. It does not contain all of the fields seen on the standard Pay Assignment page and can to be used for simpler types of pay assignments. These pay assignments do not require complex calculations relating to salaries. |
Benefit Assignments | The Human Resources (HR) Benefit Information (HRPYBE) page is used to enter employee benefit information including packages and individual assignments. If using Benefit Packages, enter that information on the Package Assignments tab. Individual benefit assignments are immediately available on the Benefit Assignments tab to assign Benefit Packages to an employee. Each assigned package will insert one to several individual benefit plans into the Benefit Assignments tab. Common code PYHR/BENEMSTR factors into processing these records. |
CDH Assignments | Use CDH Assignments (HRPYPR) page to record additional employee CDH assignments such as Taxes, Direct Deposit, Miscellaneous Payroll, Tax Sheltered Annuity. Assignments entered into this page update Payroll (PY) Employee CDH assignments (PYUPEC) page. |
Employee Tracking
Credentials | The credential (HRCRCN) module is used primarily by school district entities but can also be used by other entities to track and verify employee credentials. This includes (but is not limited to) teaching certificates, subject major/minor codes, endorsements, nursing certificates, etc. The Credentialing Module can be setup merely to track credentials and endorsements. This module also has a complex set of validation rules that can be setup to check the employee's credentials when assigning a new Pay Assignment. Steps: Mark for Credential Tracking - Create the employee in Employee Master (HREMEN) and select the Credential Holder? checkbox. This auto-populates the Credential Holder (HRCRCD) page. The Human Resources (HR) Credential Information (HRCRCN) page tracks the credentials held by an individual. Employees, non-employees, and applicants may be included and tracked within the Credential Module. The individual has to exist in the HR Credential Holder (HRCRCD) page in order to track information in this page.

The Payroll End Dates will automatically fill in when the Last Paid: field is populated. Common codes HRPY/TERMDT and HRPY/TERMDT2 can be used to manage the dates populated for the individual screens.
