Job Information

Introduction

The Job Information page lists the employee's current and historical positions. Each position card displays the position description as well as the pay or calc date range, depending upon the EO setting, of the corresponding pay assignment. 

Current Position

The Current Position card displays information related to present positions, visible in the HR Pay Assignments (HRPYPA or HRPYQP) pages. The Current Position fields map to the hr_emppay, hr_pcntble and hr_slrytble tables in the database. It shows jobs that are currently active, based on the pay assignment pay or calc end date compared to today's date.

Job: The job description and PCN. Codes are defined in the HR PCN/Position Code Definitions (HRTBPC) page.

Calendar: Indicates the employee's assignment-related Payroll calendar. Each employee is associated with a calendar but may use a different calendar for different positions. Reads from HR Pay Assignment, Position tab, Calendar field. Code values are defined in the PY Calendar Definitions (PYUPCA) page.

Hours Per Day: Number of hours per day. Reads from HR Pay Assignment, Position tab, Actual Hours/Day field, rounding up to two decimals.

Location: Indicates the location. Reads from PCN/Position Code Definitions (HRTBPC). Location codes are defined in the HR Entity Specific Misc HR Codes (HRTBCE) page, Location Codes tab.

Bargaining Unit: Indicates the primary bargaining unit. Reads from HR Pay Assignment, Position tab, Bargaining Unit field. Code values are defined in the HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Bargaining Unit tab, where the entities match.

Department: Indicates a department. Reads from HR Pay Assignment, Position tab, Department field. Code values are defined in the HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Entity Specific tab, under the code ID of DEPARTMENT_CODE.

Division: Indicates a division. Reads from HR Pay Assignment, Position tab, Division field. Code values are defined in the HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Entity Specific Codes tab, under the Code ID of DIVISION_CODE.

Salary Schedule: The salary schedule related to the Salary Index Key. Salary schedule is defined in the HR Salary Schedule Codes (HRTBSC) page. The salary schedule name reads from the Long Description field. 

Salary Grade: The grade for the salary definition. Reads from the HR Salary Definitions (HRTBSL) page, Column / Range / Grade field. 

Step: The step value of the salary. The step can represent years or level of experience. Reads from the HR Salary Definitions (HRTBSL) page, Step field.

Rates

  • Annual: Annual amount. Reads from HR Pay Assignment, Salary tab, Actual Annual field, rounding up to two decimals.

  • Period: Per period amount. Reads from HR Pay Assignment (HRPYPA), Salary or Wages tab, Actual Per Period field, rounding up to two decimals.

  • Daily: Daily rate. Reads from HR Pay Assignment (HRPYPA), Salary or Wages tab, Actual Daily field, rounding up to two decimals.

  • Hourly: Hourly rate. Reads from HR Pay Assignment (HRPYPA), Salary or Wages tab, Actual Hourly field, rounding up to two decimals.

Future Positions

The Future Position card displays information related to future positions, visible in the HR Pay Assignments page. The Future Positions fields map to the hr_emppay, hr_pcntble and hr_slrytble tables in the database and display jobs the employee will hold in the future. Determination of records is based on the pay assignment pay or calc begin date compared to today’s date.  See Current Position for field descriptions.

Historical Positions

The Historical Positions card displays job history from the HR Pay Assignments (HRPYPA or HRPYQP) pages. The Historical Positions fields map to the hr_emppay, hr_pcntble and hr_slrytble tables in the database and display jobs the employee held in the past. Determination of records is based on the pay assignment pay or calc end date compared to today's date. See Current Position for field descriptions.
