Organizational Charts - HRUTOR

The Human Resources (HR) Organizational Charts (HRUTOR) page is used to define hierarchy within an organization. The relationship is defined by specifying detail values for a specific master value. A unique record for the top section of the page consists of Entity and Chart ID. A record in the bottom section of the page is considered unique based on Entity, Chart ID, Link ID, Sort Order, Master Chart Code, Master Chart Value, and Detail Chart Value.

Entity: Indicates the Entity for which the organization chart is defined. The field defaults to the entity associated with the logged in user on HRRQUS, if a record exists. Code values are defined in the HR Entity Codes (HRRQEN) page.

Chart ID: A Chart ID is used to define/describe the entries stored for that chart. Code values are defined in the HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Entity Specific codes tab, under the Code ID of CHART_ID, where entity matches.

Link ID: A Link ID is used to link together different charts for reporting purposes. Code values are defined in the HR Non-Entity Specific Codes (HRTBHR) page under the Code ID of CHART_LINK.

Sort Order: An order value is used to specify a reporting order for charts with the same Link ID.

Master Chart Code: The Master Code identifies the chart's supervisory/managerial organization type. Values include ID, BARG, DEPT, DIV, LOC, POS, and PCN. Code values are defined in static system codes.

Master Chart Value: The Master Chart Value identifies the chart's supervisory/managerial organization value. Validation occurs as follows:
BARG Validation is to HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Bargaining Unit Codes tab where the entities match.
DEPT Validation is to HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Entity Specific Codes tab, under the Code ID of DEPARTMENT_CODE, where the entities match.
DIV Validation is to HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Entity Specific Codes tab, under the Code ID of DIVISION_CODE, where the entities match.
ID Validation is to HR Employee Master (HREMEN), Employee ID where the entities match.
LOC Validation is to HR Entity Specific Codes (HRTBCE) page, Location Codes tab, where the entities match.
PCN Validation is to hr_pcnotble table, where the entities match.
POS Validation is to HR PCN/Position Definitions (HRTBPC), Position field, where the entities match.

Detail Chart Code: The Detail Code identifies the chart's subordinate organization type. Values include ID, BARG, DEPT, DIV, LOC, POS, and PCN. Code values are defined in static system codes.

Detail Chart Value: The Detail Value identifies the Chart's subordinate organization value. For example, if the Master Code is ID, then the Detail Values will be Employee IDs.

Sort Levels: These fields provide a three-level sorting ability. For example, if the detail information is to be sorted by Division, then by Department, and then by Location, these fields may be used to provide that sorting level detail. Seven special codes trigger data fetches. The codes are described below:
BARG Enter a code of BARG to fetch the Bargaining Unit value from Employee Master page (Detail Code of ID) or PCN/Position Definitions page (Detail Code of POS or PCN).
DEPT Enter a code of DEPT to fetch the Department value from Employee Master page (Detail Code of ID) or PCN/Position Definitions page (Detail Code of POS or PCN).
LOCEnter a code of LOC to fetch the Location value from Employee Master page (Detail Code of ID) or PCN/Position Definitions page (Detail Code of POS or PCN).
DIV Enter a code of DIV to fetch the Division value from Employee Master page (Detail Code of ID) or PCN/Position Definitions page (Detail Code of POS or PCN).
CAL Enter a code of CAL to fetch the Calendar value from Employee Master page (Detail Code of ID) or PCN/Position Definitions page (Detail Code of POS or PCN).
DIST Only applies to Detail Code of ID. Enter a code of DIST to fetch the Check Distribution value from Employee Master page.
JOB Only applies to Detail Codes of POS and PCN. Enter a code of JOB to fetch the Job Code value from PCN/Position Definitions page.

Sort Index: This field is a numeric field that may also be used as a sorting field for the detail values.

Tools

Assign Sort Level Values

This tool is available under the Tools section of the Option Bar from the Organization chart page. The tool is used to populate the Sort level fields globally.

  • Check Distribution (Only applies to Detail Code of ID)

  • Job Code (Only applies to Detail Codes of POS and PCN)

On entering the details and clicking Submit, Sort levels will be updated. The Tool will automatically close after a successful update is made. If update fails, the reason for the failure will be displayed at the top of the page. The Assign Sort Level values window will remain open until a successful insertion is done or the Cancel button is clicked.
