Pay Class Definition - PYUPPY

The Payroll (PY) Pay Class Definition (PYUPPY) page is used to define various types of pay classes. Pay classes are used to group together employees who are able to receive the same "class" or set of patched hours. This definition specifies all the valid hours for each pay class.

Pay Class: Enter a unique number (ranging from 1 – 999) to identify the pay class.

Code: Enter up to eight characters that identify the pay class (e.g., REGULAR). This code is used on a number of reports and screens.

Title: Enter up to 20 characters that identify the title of the pay class (e.g., SALARY). This title appears on a number of reports and screens.

Begin/End: Enter the dates that this pay class is to be considered active. The date can be entered in MM/DD/YY or MM/DD/YYYY format. If this pay class is always active, leave these fields blank.

Hour Details

Hour: Valid hour codes for the selected pay class. Validates to PYUPHH with a range of 3000 – 3999.
