Salary Definition Utility - HRUTSU

The Human Resources (HR) Salary Definition Utility (HRUTSU) is used for adjusting dates and amounts on the HR Salary Definitions (HRTBSL) page. The page is separated into three areas: Options, Selection Criteria, and Adjustment Data.

The utility can be run in Add mode and in Browse mode if the Test checkbox had previously been marked. It is good practice to enter the desired data in Add mode, have the Test box checked, and then press enter. The utility will run but not affect any records in the database. Records will be generated and placed into the HR Salary Definition Utility List (HRUTSL) page, for each processed record, indicating the action taken including error messages. If everything looks okay at that time, then return to the same record in the utility page, clear the Test checkbox and press enter again. With the Test checkbox clear, the database records will be affected.

When Copy and Paste functionality is used on this page, the new record (pasted record) will have the Run By and Run Date fields updated to current user and date upon saving.

Pressing Enter to launch a job process. A job number will display which can be matched to the Show Jobs window. The tail sheet will contain information about the process.

Option: Utility option to use. Option 1 will update the HR Salary Definitions page for any selected records. Option 2 will create new HR Salary Definitions page assignments with the given dates and close the old/previous records. Code values are restricted to static system codes.

Round Salaries to # Decimals: Indicates the number of decimal places to which the salaries on the HR Salary Definitions page should be rounded.

Test: Select the checkbox if only a report is to be generated and no records on the HR Salary Definitions page are to be updated. Clear the checkbox if records should be updated or inserted into the HR Salary Definitions page.
