Interface to Order Entry - SIUTIN

This utility is an interface that will insert new warehouse orders directly into the SI Create/Update Orders (SIOEUB) page. The utility reads a data file with the assistance of a driver file. Typically, the driver file is named SIFLDRVR and is highly configurable and customizable. The driver file can be loaded via the Remote lookup functionality. The system will process data formatted as a .prn delimited file (per the driver file). While the driver file may be considered static, because it is not accessible to the average user, the SIUTIN template may be updated, accessed remotely, and used repeatedly.

The data file will typically start as an Excel file with columns defined to match the driver file configuration settings. Save the file with the desired extension, such as .prn (modify the driver file to define other delimited file types).

Running the process in Trial mode will verify the definitions. Uncheck the Trial Run box to commit to run. On successful uploads, the tail sheet will state the order number with a message, "Creating order # [order number]." Then view the order in SIOEUB. If all looks well, update record(s) and process as usual. If the record is not as expected, use the menu option "Delete Record," update the data file, and resubmit the file.
