Setting Up Routes and Year Definitions

Step 1: Define Route Year

  • Open Year Definition (SIUPYR) page.
  • Enter the year.
  • Enter a description.
  • Check the Active box.
  • Use the start and end dates of the fiscal year for the Ordering Start and End Date fields.

Step 2: Add Delivery Routes

  • Open the Delivery Routes (SIUPDR) page.
  • Add a new record.
  • Select a year from the Route Definition tab.
  • Enter a route name.
  • Enter a route description.
  • Check the Active box.
  • Select a Pick Date and Delivery Date from the calendar. The Pick Date and Delivery date must be properly defined when creating the SI Order in SIOEUB otherwise the SI order will not be created. The pick date represents the date the route is picked and also the last date an order can be placed for the route. For example, if the pick date is 09/17/2015, the user can order for this route through the end of the day on 09/16/2015. If the user tries to place an order on 09/24/2015, the order is assigned the next delivery date for this route (see screenshot below). When the SI order is created, a customer with an assigned route MUST have an order requested date that is prior to the route definition pick date and before delivery date.
  • Save the record line.
  • Select Add to repeat these steps.

Step 3: Create Route Assignments
The Route Assignment tab on SIUPDR is used to assign one or two routes to a customer for a given year.

  • Add a new record.
  • Select the year.
  • Look up or type in the customer ID. Generally, there is only one route per customer ID, but a secondary route can be used as an alternate route.
  • Select a primary route.
  • Select a secondary route (optional).
  • Save the record.
