BatchJob Test

The Jobs component on the Dashboard uses a port on the Application server to get the most recent BatchJob information. The port number and hostname are set in the "Telnet Host" tab of the connection properties. If these values are not set correctly on this tab, the Job Monitor page is unable to contact the Application server.

The BatchJob Test plugin allows an administrator to test the values to see if they are correct. By default, the hostname and port number in the plugin are derived from the connection settings. However, the values can be changed to allow testing of alternate values. Selecting either the "Show Jobs" or "Counter" buttons will initiate a connection to the host on the designated port. Once an appropriate change to either value is identified, the "Telnet Host" tab in the connection properties will need to be updated with the correct entries.
