Installation Utilities
There are two installation utilities when installing BusinessPlus on Windows:
- An upgrade utility which is used to upgrade an existing install. e.g., 7.10 to 7.11.
- A full DVD installer which is used to install on a new clean Windows OS.
Launch Installer
Once the DVD-ROM is inserted, the setup program will launch. If not, setup may be launched by going to the start menu and selecting the run option (in Windows) and typing X:\setup (where X is the DVD-ROM drive letter).
Administrative Console
Install the Administrative Console only on workstations meant for users who will perform administrative functions. Administrative Console can be used to configure the BusinessPlus Web server as well as BusinessPlus security.
CDD Reports
PowerSchool provides sample CDD reports on the install DVD. These reports are found on the PC Products DVD in the Reports directory. When loading CDD Reports from the install DVD, it is necessary to first copy the .cdd or .czf files to your local hard drive before loading them into your system catalog database. They cannot be loaded directly from the install DVD.
