Transaction Process
If authorizations are not required, an employee tasked with creating a check, deposit and/or transfer will complete the particular task and see the transaction process immediately. The transaction will go directly to the appropriate subsystems to complete the request and a reference number will present. For instance, to request a check to pay Invoice XYZ, the pending invoice is entered and submitted for payment by creating an Accounts Payable transaction via SA Check Request (SAUPCR) page. Without Workflow being turned on, the person completing data entry sanctions the check as appropriate and is the one-stop creator and authorizer for payment without any further consideration.
If authorization is required, Workflow must be configured to handle the approval process.
