Pay Class
Pay classes must be identified as either CNTR (contractual assignments, salary, patched hours) or HRLY (timecard-driven assignments, no patching) to determine the type of adjustment needed for the employee.
For example, an hourly employee may only report FFCRA – Self for 8 hours and will require a positive adjustment to pay 8 hours of leave, while a contractual employee will not require an adjustment because their pay has already been patched.
On the PY Pay Class Definition (PYUPPY) page:
Mark all active contract pay classes CNTR in Misc Code 5.
Mark all active other pay classes HRLY in Misc Code 5.
Add the three new FFCRA hours codes to each pay class marked CNTR or HRLY.
Optionally, if a client chooses to identify assignments by pay class, enter the FFRCA code value in the designated Misc Code field, as identified in common code FFRC/HOURS.
