Network Install
Installation Steps
First, BusinessPlus needs to be installed on a Master PC, selecting the Local Install type. Enter a shared Network Drive that has been mapped locally on the Master PC.
Next, client PCs/workstations are set up using the "Network Client Install" installation type:
- In the Working Directory screen, enter the path to a local directory (e.g., \Program Files (x86)\PowerSchool> where you want to place the uninstall files and any other files the installer needs to have locally.
- As the Network Source, enter the path with a shared Network Drive that has been mapped locally. This path is the same network path that the Master PC installed to.
Service Packs must be applied to the Master PC and will propagate out to client installs from there. Ensure these directions are retained and followed as Service Packs will only install correctly from the Master PC.
A scripted installation will run silently and install applications based upon the choices in the script.ini. However, if a logon is required to boot up the operating system, the installation will stop until a user with administrative privileges logs back on to the PC.
