IRS Files

Use PYACPFxx to produce the IRS files. Two files are created by the PYACPF process that conform to the IRS naming rules: a manifest file and a data file. Both are submitted to the IRS.You are presented with two options when running PYACPF:

Production should be used to create the submission files for reporting your 1094-C and 1095-C data to the IRS.
The Test option is used to create one-time communication test files that are required of the IRS before you can submit production files. The install will include data from the IRS test scenario 7 that will be used for this purpose.
The two files that are created are stored in the data directory of the App server. They follow this naming convention:

  • 1094C_Request_xxxxx(Current date and time)000Z.xml
  • 1094C_Request_xxxxx(Current date and time)000Z_Man.xml

Where xxxxx = the TCC code assigned to you by the IRS, as defined in the ACAR/1094C2 common code.
Current date and time will be in the following format: YYYYMMDDTHHMMSS.

See Electronic File for information on how to submit the file to the IRS.
