Inactivating a Student Group or Event

There are two ways to halt activity in the Student Activities (SA) module. Both are done with a "Status" field; one on the SA Student Group Setup page and one on the SA Event Information page.

SA Student Group Setup (SAUPSS) – To stop a student group from updating or entering all information concerning all events, set the status to "I" for Inactive on the SA Student Group Setup page. This will change the student group status on all other pages to display information only, disabling updates or the insertion of new information for that student group.

SA Event Information (SAUPEV) – To stop a student group from updating or entering information concerning an event, set the status to "I" for Inactive on the SA Event Information page. By inactivating an event, just the information for the one event is affected. This will change the event status on all other pages to display information only, disabling updates or the insertion of new information for that event. Also, transactions may be limited by use of starting and ending dates for an active Student Group.
