Posting a Request

The initial step in the recruitment process begins by circulating a Request for Hire or Request to Fill a Vacancy.

  • A posting can be initiated from the process of bringing in an applicant from the 3rd party Applicant Tracking system. If a posting does not exist with the Applicant Tracking Posting ID a new posting is created in RMUPPI. Postings initiated in RMUPPI must be updated prior to the applicant being hired or posting data may be lost. A posting request requires a Hiring Manager ID. In order for an employee to be considered a Hiring Manager, their BusinessPlus User ID needs to have an association of "HIREAUTH" in the Nucleus (NU) Manage Users page.
  • If Human Resources Position Control (PC) is being utilized, PC integration can be enforced at the request level to ensure the district remains within budget.
  • Since the posting is to be used with a 3rd party Applicant Tracking system, upon saving or submitting a posting, the system places "Appl" into the postype column of the AMPostingDefinition table.
  • A posting is approved using Workflow: the data is transferred to the 3rd party Applicant Tracking system and an Applicant Tracking ID number is returned. The ID is used to connect the postings between the two systems and is stored in the "CopiedFromPosting" column of the "AMPostingDefinition" table. The standard Workflow model to process postings is AM_POSTINGFILL.
