Codes - WOUPCD
The purpose of the Work Order Management (WO) Codes (WOUPCD) page is to define the code values used in pick lists within the Work Order module. Once defined, the Code Values will be available for selection on the pages that utilize the Code IDs. In some cases, nothing more than the Code ID, your code value, and a brief description is necessary. However, several other code tables require a rate and rate type. These are typically codes on the work order detail pages - WO Data Entry (WOUPWO), WO Work Request (WOUPWR), and WO Transaction Update (WOUPTR) - that utilize labor, equipment, or other rates.
Code ID: Select the code from the drop-down list for this required field that is typically the name of the attribute on a particular page. Code IDs validate to static codes, WOCodes_CodeIDs. The following table displays the available Code IDs and where used on work order pages.

Code Value: This 16-character field stores the actual value associated with the Code ID. Using the table information, develop a list of values for each field (refer to the Max character length above). The values defined will be available for selection in the drop list for that field, on the pages referenced.
Rate: If the rate value is used on the details page, a rate and/or rate type may be entered in this 12-character field. Rates are most often associated with the LABR, EQPT, and OTHR codes to define the rate to be used in calculation of actual costs for transactions. This field consists of two parts, the rate to be used, and the rate type defined below.
Type: If the code value is used on the details page then a code and/or code type may be entered in this eight-character field. Examples might include time-periods such as hour, day, each, etc.
Short Desc: This 30-character description field is used to echo the code description on pages that accommodate a code description.
Description: An optional description of up to 64 characters may be defined.
