Global Settings
Access the Timecard Online Global Settings page on the Timecard Online Dashboard component (https://<<servername>>/IFAS7/home/customize/ — Timecard Online tab).
Setup
Group Pay Assignments by: The standard setup for Timecard Online is to collect time entries for a grouping of multiple Pay Assignments rather than for individual assignments. Available options in the drop-down menu read from PYUPGN, Pay String tab (standard parts and user-defined parts).
Use Job Title for Position: This setting will change the label for Position Panel tabs to display the Job Title from Payroll Job/Position Definition (PYUPJB) page (py_job_mstr). This setting will only take effect if the "Group Pay Assignments by" option is set to "Position."
Show Pay Rate on Position: This setting will display Regular Rate of Pay on the Position Panel, if the "Group Pay Assignments by" option is set to "Position," otherwise it will display "Varies."
Can Timekeeper Modify Submitted Time? Clicking in the checkbox will allow users set up in Manage Users with the Association of Timekeeper to modify submitted Timecard records. Functionality is also referred to as "Enhanced Timekeeper."
Verify Panel File Path: As employees complete their Timecard entry for a given Pay Period, they typically perform a "Submit" step that makes the timecards inaccessible to the employee and marks them as waiting for approval. An optional feature at this point is to display a message that requires a second <Enter> key acknowledging that the timecards entered are truthful and accurate. The text of the message is created by the client and built into the "Verify Control Path" - VerifyPanel.ascx. The text must be edited within the file itself.
Locked Mixed Status Approvals: This field is relevant only when using Workflow Code values of KEY.GlKey, KEY.JlKey, or KEY.Wo options. With these options, status for time entry is tracked at the detail level. This means that a particular period being displayed on the position panel may have timecard entries with mixed status values. To disallow an employee's ability to modify records in this state, set this field to "yes."
Upshift Detail Notes: Optional Text Notes (comments) may be entered with each detailed timecard entry. Entering "yes" will cause those Notes to be up-shifted, automatically, for more consistent searching and reporting on those items.
Display Pay Class Hours: Options in the drop-down box control how the Hour Code will display. Choices are by the Hour Title or by the Hour Code.
Show only These Rec Types: Enter Rec Types that will display in Timecard Entries tabs. If this option is left blank, all Rec Types will display. PM Rec Types will always display first and wildcards are supported.
Visible Start Date: Options in the drop-down box control what will display as the starting date in the timecard entry screen. There are three options: "TO Default," "Period Begin," and "Today." "TO Default" will use the starting date on the Active Periods tab in Timecard Online, Customize Dashboard, for the employee's pay cycle. "Period Begin" will use the starting date of the employee's pay period as defined on the Pay Period Definition (PYUPPR) page. "Today" will default to the week with the current date.
Global Login Message
This is a custom message that will appear as each user logs into the Timecard Online application. It may be set up as one standard message that always appears or may be routinely changed as needed. The "/n" convention may be used to break the message into two or more lines. Leaving this box blank will eliminate any message from appearing. Note: The initial login message is presented to employees set up to key their own time. This is done with Nucleus User Association "TIMECARD." For employees set up as TIMEKEEP in Nucleus, the global message is not presented unless they have a "TIMECARD" association as well.
