Introduction

PunchOut allows an organization to shop directly on a vendor's Web site through negotiated pricing and seamless imports of shopping carts, which are pre-encumbered and follow the organization's standard workflow of approvals within BusinessPlus. When a vendor authorizes a district to use its PunchOut catalog, the catalog items listed on the Web site can be customized the organization and offered at a discount.

Features

  • Defines a framework of Purchasing Data Sets.

  • Defines particular types of actions like "PunchOut" or "PunchOutOrderRequest."

  • The e-commerce portal or hub allows users to view procurement data, from the vendor's catalog to fulfillment, and a transaction history.

Concept

BusinessPlus supports cXML PunchOut and Order Requests. PunchOut allows the BusinessPlus user to shop on a third-party web page and have the data returned to the BusinessPlus purchasing module as a Requisition. The Requisition will flow through the system normally with approvals, and once the Requisition is printed, a cXML OrderRequest is sent over the internet to commit the order with the Vendor.

  • cXML allows Buyers and Vendors to do business over the Internet.

  • cXML defines a framework of Purchasing Data Sets.

  • cXML defines particular types of actions like "PunchOut" or "PunchOutOrderRequest."

  • This e-commerce portal or hub allows users to view procurement data, from the vendor's catalog to fulfillment, and a transaction history.

"PunchOutOrderRequest" generally referred to as the "Order Request" or "Purchase Order."
