DRS Extract

Once employees are set up and a payroll can be processed, a DRS extract (PYRERRWA02) can be run to either calculate the deductions and contributions or to extrapolate the necessary information to report to the state.

To run the process, enter:

  1. DRS reporting period in form YYYYMM (i.e., 201706)

  1. Payroll Period that was last processed (i.e., 1701060)

  1. Including Deferments is asking if you want to see all previous periods reported dollars.  This is somewhat of a historical view and is valuable when trying to reconcile. It is not suggested on full runs as it makes the extract report extremely long.  A “Y” enables seeing the past reported dollars.  Anything else will only show current period information.

  1. Totals only.

  1. Include UNPAID history – This option allows you to include unpaid periods in the extract.  This is typically done when running force calcs to include the calculated deductions and contributions. Once a payroll is completed and you want to report that month to DRS, typically the extract is re-run with this option as an “N” to exclude employees who might have been calculated but not paid.
