Paid Family Medical Leave

PYRESRWAFM is used to report on Paid Family Medical Leave.

Setup

Washington Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) requires common code PYWA/PFML to be set up for the report and file to function properly.

Process

PYRESRWAFM runs a process that generates a report and two files. It uses standard selection criteria to select employees. Additionally, it asks for the current Tax Year and Tax Quarter.

A file is produced in the c:\WA directory on the Workflow server called PFML + Tax Year + Tax Quarter. E.g., PFML202004 would be the file for tax year 2020 and quarter 4.

The second file is a RECON file to help the user with reconciliation.

Additionally, a report is produced that shows employee details and provides grand totals for wages, hours, deductions, and contributions.

The first file should be submitted to the state. The file contains SSN, Last Name, First Name, Hours Worked, and Wages.

The RECON file lists amounts from Payroll used to derive the amounts for the first file to help troubleshoot possible issues. The file contains:

  • Employee ID, Name, Status, Employee Type, Bargaining Unit, Actual Wages from each month in the quarter
  • Reported Wages for each month in the quarter
  • Actual Hours for each month
  • Reported Hours for each month
  • Deduction and contribution amounts for each month
  • Total wages for every quarter of the current year
  • Totals for the quarter
