Processes - ELF
Installing ELF is a simple process. ELF is included with our main installer distributed on our release DVD and is a code and key unlocked option as of 7.9.7. This file only needs to be executed once for each PC that will be running ELF. This program installs the executable ELF program as well as all necessary libraries required to run ELF. By default, these files are installed in the "C:\program filesdirectory\elf" directory (where directory is the name of the directory defined at install time). This installation path can be changed if desired.
In addition to the setup.exe file, the installation includes an .elf and a .rlf file for each form you are going to use. The .elf file(s) contains the macro and fonts that are sent to the printer. The .rlf file(s) removes any macros or fonts that are sent to the printer when the corresponding .elf file is sent to the printer.
Once setup is complete, the .rlf and .elf files should be copied to the same directory as the executable ("C:\program filesdirectory\elf" if the default path is accepted). Copying the .elf and .rlf files to this directory is not required but will make using forms easier since you will not have to browse file structures to find them.
Note: ELF can be installed on a thumb drive or other external media if you do not want to permanently install the program on a PC.
