Object Definitions
To allow Documents Online (DO) to interact with other applications or with legacy applications (Imaging), DO uses Storage and Attachment objects to perform its storage and retrieval functions. These objects are defined in the IM_OBJECTS table in the BusinessPlus database. The primary mechanism of adding, removing or disabling those definitions is the Object Definitions plugin. Generally, there is little need to interact with this plugin for most clients.
Object ID: The GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) associated with the object. This is the GUID the object was compiled with and is not randomly assigned by the system.
Object Type: States whether this is a Storage or Attachment object.
Description: The user-friendly description of the object.
Object Assembly: The .Net assembly currently storing this object.
Object Instance: The instance of this object in the .Net Assembly.
Active: Indicated if this object is active. Inactive objects are not invoked by DO during storage or retrieval functions.
