Cluster Attribute Definition - NUUPCA

The information on the Nucleus (NU) Cluster/Attribute Definition (NUUPCA) page reflects subsystem database organization and in BusinessPlus software versions 7.9 and greater is used for reference only.

Subsystem: The two-character subsystem ID code of the subsystem with which this cluster is associated.
Cluster: Up to four-characters that name the cluster.
Description: Up to 30 characters used to describe the cluster.
Data Set: The actual name of the data set in which the data for this cluster is stored.
Data Set Type: M = master, D = detail, A = automatic, P = internal payroll table (not an IMAGE data set).
Length: The length in bytes of each entry in the cluster.
Key Attribute: The name of the attribute (data item) which is the key to the cluster.
Attribute: Unique name of the attribute, within the selected Subsystem and Cluster.
Description: Description of the attribute.
DB Item: The name of the actual data item that contains the data for this attribute.
DB Item Type: The type of the database Item.
Start: The byte position within the cluster at which this attribute is stored.
Length: The length in bytes of this attribute.
Occurs: Some attributes are composed of more than one entry of the same type, accessed by an index. This field specifies the number of elements in such an attribute. The default is 1.
Type: Two-characters, which specify the attribute type. Example: DT = date, CH = character data.
Sort Item: A check mark in this field indicates that cluster entries are sorted on this attribute. The default is blank.
Search Item: A check mark in this field indicates that cluster entries may be searched in order by this attribute. The default is blank.
Short (Heading): The short heading for the attribute.
Medium (Heading): The medium heading for the attribute being defined.
Long (Heading): The long heading for the attribute being defined.
