Launch Job Scheduling - NUUTSCLN

The NUUTSCLN utility launches the scheduling process, which "wakes-up" every 24 hours to determine if jobs are to be launched.

Enter the time (in 24-hour format) that the scheduler is to "wake up" and process the job schedules defined. It is best to enter a time when little activity will be occurring on the system. The default is 6:00 AM.

Each day at the entered time, the background job "NUUTSCLN" will "wake up" and look through all of the defined job schedule IDs. If the entry is scheduled to be processed today, all of the jobs associated with the definition will be launched within a 24-hour window starting at wake-up and ending 24 hours later. If a job schedule is defined as being processed within the next three days, the system will look through any "USE files" associated with the definition and post any "ASKME" questions. These questions will then be asked of the user who defined the job schedule, the next time that user logs into BusinessPlus.

This background process may only be running once. If an attempt is made to launch this process when it is already running, this second job will abort and the message "The NUCLEUS scheduling process is already active" will be printed on the tail sheet.
