Receiving Events - POUPRE

The Purchasing (PO) Receiving Events page maintains the events that may occur in the life of a particular item on a purchase request. The system records several events automatically, but some events may need to be logged manually. The PO Receiving Events page will allow events to be entered and/or browsed for existing events on an Item. An example of an automatically recorded event is the printing of a purchase order. When an item is printed or reprinted on a purchase order, an event is logged to keep track of the printing. Another example is a receiving event. When information is entered on the Receiving page, an event is logged for the item that was received. This event is then the status of the item, and may appear on other pages as the status of the item.

The page is accessible through PO Receiving (POUPRC) page and will auto-populate with the PO data active on POUPRC. Otherwise, click on the Find/Search icon to view orders related to a particular PR# or other field(s). Note that the PO Events page is read only. The Purchasing system is installed with event codes that are already defined; however, other events can be set up using an entry in POUPRE. When a user creates an event, it automatically creates the common code entry with a code category of POEV.
