Recompute Inventory Balances - SIUTRC

This utility recomputes all the Stores Inventory balances, updates total on hand, committed, backordered, and on order quantities. If, for some reason such as a hardware failure, the inventory balances and the Stores Inventory history records do not match, this utility should be used to recompute the inventory balances. It is advisable for all other users to exit the Stores Inventory system before this utility is run.

Product ID's: Enter the Product ID for which Inventory Balances are to be recomputed or leave blank to select "ALL" Product IDs. When a Product ID is entered, inventory balances are recomputed for all warehouses that stock that item. Individual Product IDs may be separated by commas and/or ranges of order numbers (joined by a dash) may be entered. Product IDs may be designated for inclusion, exclusion or both, but inclusions must be entered first. The list may be up to 76 characters long.

  • If 111,222-333 is entered; system selects all Product IDs of 111, and all those between 222 and 333.
  • If ex111,222-333 is entered; system selects all Product IDs except those of 111 or between 222 and 333.
  • If 111-200,ex130,140-155 is entered; system selects all Product IDs between 111 and 200, except those of 130 or between 140 and 155.

Use of the universal match symbol, @ ("at" sign), to search by position. For example, if the entry is "", the entered string would match all order numbers with a "2" in the second position.

This utility will recompute all inventory balances. Any differences in quantity or value will be reported on the tail sheet.
