UNDO Transaction Distribution - ENUTUN
This utility is used to undo (purge) all transactions related to the entered BusinessPlus job number. The BusinessPlus job number is a number assigned to each job run within the BusinessPlus system. The number assigned will appear in the heading of all reports generated during the distribution process. If these reports are misplaced, the number can be located using file listings.
Usually, distributions are undone so that corrections can be made and the Set may be redistributed. Following the UNDO, corrections can be made by using the Create/Update Set (ENBTUB) page and then the redistribution may be done using the EN Distribute Set (ENBTDS) process.
Enter the Job Number to be purged: Enter the BusinessPlus assigned job number.
Is this a Trial Run?: Check the box (Yes) to see the results of running this utility without actually updating records. If this is not a trial run, uncheck the box (No) and the next question will be presented.
Save "UNDONE" entries to a Set file?: The system will save or add undone entries into a Set file. The undone entries will include check number information if the entries being removed had already been used in a check run. If the user saves the entries to the original Set file, the user will encounter duplicate entries because this process will add entries. It is at the user's discretion to create a new Set file and have two Set files for one set of entries (the new saved Set and the old incorrect Set) or add the entries to the old incorrect Set. Caution is suggested if the user is changing account number information in this Set and checks have been issued. The user may encounter funds out of balance at reconciliation time. The check could have been issued from one fund and redistributed through this process to another fund. Uncheck the box (No) if the user does not want to save undone entries. Check the box (Yes) to save undone entries. If the box is unchecked (No), the "undone" entries will not be saved to a Set file (although the original Set file will still exist in the "posted" group).
