Undoing Set Distribution - ARUTUN

The Undoing Set Distribution utility is used to undo (purge) all transactions related to the entered BusinessPlus job number. The job number is a number assigned to each job run within the BusinessPlus system. The number assigned will appear in the heading of all reports generated during the distribution process.

If reports are misplaced, the number can be located through the long format of any Transaction Inquiry. Usually distributions are undone so that corrections can be made and the set may be redistributed. This utility achieves the same effect as ARUTUG with the exception of the GL; only transactions from the AR database are undone. Note: When running as undo utility the user should have exclusive access to the ARDB.

Job Number to be purged: Enter the job number to be purged.  Common Code SYGL/UNDODATEspecifies the cut-off date for the oldest transactions to be removed. This allows for the UNDO process to not occur prior to a certain date.  Two types of job numbers are associated with a particular job run on the HP system. The first type, in the form #Jnnn, is assigned by the HP operating system and the second type is a job number which is assigned by BusinessPlus anytime a function is requested. This BusinessPlus job number is unique for each job for the life of the system. Enter this job number at this prompt.

Is this a Test Run? When you answer YES, only the printer prompt is displayed. When you answer NO, the “Save ‘UNDONE’ entries to a Set?" displays.

Save 'UNDONE' entries to a Set? Respond YES if you would like to save the undone Approvals to a new set file. This would leave the originally distributed set in the Posted group while creating a new set in the data group. Otherwise enter "N' or press RETURN to accept the default.

Name of the Set for the Undo: Enter the name of the Set to undo.

Clear Posted Flags: If this utility is used, the post flags on the batch must be cleared in order to access the previously posted set. To clear the post flags, find the batch in ARBTARUB, and click the Clear Posted Flags tool on the Tools tab on the left side of ARBTARUB. Click the Clear BOTH Post Flags radio button, then click the Clear button.
